Media Ministry is a bookstore that sells Christian books and materials. We seek to provide resources for individuals, churches and mission organisations around the region. The job scope of the Logistics Assistant includes the following:
Specific Responsibilities:
1. Handles and manages incoming shipment/deliveries:
- Monitors purchase orders against shipment schedules
- Unpacking of goods
- Handles incoming goods receipt documentation & process
- Handles quality control and damaged goods claims process
- Shrink wrapping and display of merchandise
2. Handles and manages outgoing local deliveries/export:
- Assists in the fulfilment and packing of sales orders
- Manages the outgoing local deliveries with other logistics companies/platforms
- Handles Outgoing overseas shipments via freight forwarder/courier companies
- Handles Consignment returns/Purchase returns/Sales returns and related documentation
3. Inventory control and warehouse management
- Handles inventory transfers between Showroom & Warehouse
- Manages stock adjustments for damaged products
4. Other adhoc duties include managing book tables at conferences and providing customer service to walk-ins/phone enquiries at retail store.
As a Christian organisation, employees will be required to attend work meetings which start and end with religious activities such as prayers, words of worship and bible sharings. Non-Christian employees are not required to participate in the religious activities
Requirements:
1. Minimum “O” levels/ITE Certificate
2. Computer literacy
2. Fluent in communicating in English and Mandarin
3. Experience in logistics and supply chain management
5. Applicant must be physically fit to manage the loading and unloading of shipments
6. Applicants must be comfortable to assist customers' queries on Christian products sold in the store
