Responsibilities
· Leading a Team of Piping Design Engineers & Piping Designers to execute the Piping Design Engineering of the Project which includes preparation of Plot Plan, Piping Layout, Equipment Layout, Piping Material Specification, Special Piping Component Specification & Data Sheet, Isometric Drawing, Special Pipe support Design, Piping Stress Analysis, MTO, Mechanical Line List Meeting Process Requirement, P&IDs, Client Specifications, Project Requirements, and all applicable Project Documents.
· Study development and preparation of Plot plan, Key plan, Equipment Layouts, Piping Layouts, Utility Distribution drawings & General Arrangement Drawings.
· Ensuring the Design which meets effective Construction, Operation, Maintenance, Access & Safety requirements.
· Co-ordination and Planning for requirement of Manpower, Review of ITB documents, Technical Queries, Plot plan review, MTO (P&ID, GAD & ISO).
· Interface Management with Lead Engineers, Client, Contractors, Vendors, Government Agencies and Certification agencies.
· Preparation, Monitoring and Control Engineering Document Control List and expedite for delay/ approvals/resolution of open issues.
· Review and ensures that all works are carried out in accordance with project specification. Maintain Design integrity and quality within the Piping Engineering Team
· Preparing Engineering schedule and Engineering man hours estimation for Piping Discipline to meet project requirements.
· Monitoring and Controlling Piping Engineering Deliverable list to ensure timely issuance of documents and expedite for delay and resolution of open issues.
· Participates in discipline and inter-discipline design check and screening meetings for compatibility, completeness, and correctness in works.
· Job assignments, Mentoring and Supervision of works for Designers and Design Engineers.
· Familiar with international codes and standards ASME 31.3, 31.4, API, ASTM, NFPA.
· Thickness calculations as per ASME and Preparation of Mechanical line list.
· Preparation of Technical Specification for Works and Technical Bid Evaluation.
· Preparation of technical assessments and recommendations, post purchase order placement, dimensional check for piping materials.
· Preparation of Layouts for Columns, Vessels, Pumps, Compressors, K.O. Drums, Exchangers, Storage Tanks, Flare system, Tank Farms, Jetty Deck –Top side Underground and Pipe Rack & Trestle
· Preparation and Reviewing of Piping Material take off
· Defining secondary Steel Structures require for Equipment & Piping systems.
· Quality checking of 2D, 3D Model, Isometric drawings.
· Supervision of Layout Design and Inter Discipline activities, Vendor Co-ordination, Procurement Assistance, Co-ordination with construction team to resolve the problems through preparing field design change request.
· Responsible for Discipline Co-ordination, Piping Deliverables, Piping Man-hours Monitoring, Attending design review Meetings with Clients and Package vendors.
· To be proactive in creating a safe working environment for everyone and ensuring that HSE in-house rules are observed at all times.
· To consider HSE aspects when planning and carrying out tasks to eliminate and reduce HSE hazards, aspects and risks.
Requirements
· Preferably Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
· Preferably 10 to 15 years in Oil & Gas industry
