The Senior Design Engineer is responsible for assisting the Senior/Technical Manager on structural analysis and design compliance are met for the project.
A summary of the responsibilities of this position are, and not limited to, as follows:
- Conduct structure analysis.
- Provide technical engineering information to ensure compliance with all engineering standards, codes, specifications, and design instructions.
- Coordinate with Design Engineer for the precast design conceptualization and connection detailing for the projects.
- Produce precast layout plans and fabrication shop drawings of precast concrete elements for production and submission to clients
- Perform design for precast component for demoulding, transportation and hoisting stage
- Check and highlight all the discrepancies between Structural, Architectural, and M&E drawings to finalize precast shop drawing for production.
- Ensure that the precast design and drawings are in compliance with the standard
- Preparation of Method statements for precast components
- Involved in quantity and cost estimation
- Adherence to safety practices in the workplace
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Education: Minimum Degree in Civil Engineering from accredited Universities
- Experience: Prior 6 to 8 years of experience in design and construction
- Have completed at least 1 project
- Well versed in structure analysis and design software such as ORION, SAP2000, SAFE, PROKON, PLAXIS or other similar software.
- Well versed in Autocad and BIM software is preferred.
- Technical Competencies: Technical expertise and knowledge in Foundation, Structural and Civil works
