We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to lead our platform architecture, modernisation, and rationalisation efforts. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in software architecture, platform design, and change management, with a focus on modernising and rationalising our technology stack. The candidate should be conversant with an operating environment that runs on both in-house built as well as vendor-built software.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of our platform architecture, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance
- Drive the modernisation and rationalisation of our technology stack, identifying and implementing improvements to increase efficiency and reduce complexity
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and solve complex technical problems
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to the engineering team
- Manage the transition to cloud-native technologies, including change management and technical design
- Evaluate and recommend technology solutions to improve and optimise the platform architecture
Qualifications & Experience Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Strong experience in software architecture and platform design
- Experience leading modernisation and rationalisation efforts
- Strong technical design skills
- Experience with change management and transitioning to cloud native technologies
- Experience working in a hybrid environment, including on-premises, AWS, and Google Cloud
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Proven track record of leading successful technical projects
