Job Summary
J.P. Morgan Asset Management is looking for an Alternatives Investment Specialist who specializes in both Hedge Funds and Private Credit Solutions. Candidate will have an opportunity to build strong relationships with institutional clients and investment consultants across both APAC and Middle East, and co-cover clients with EMEA team. You will develop subject matter expertise across a range of hedge fund and private credit products and strategies, and play a key role in coverage of large institutional investors across hedge fund and private credit accounts. In addition, you will work closely with senior members of the team to develop compelling marketing materials and share our stories to both existing clients and prospects
Job Responsibilities
1. Focus and specialize in Hedge Funds and Private Credit Solutions.
2. Contribute to strategy for individual client and consultant relationships, including identifying opportunities for additional product opportunities .
3. Drive the creation of materials for meetings with our existing institutional investor base.
4. Lead the investment consultants channel for APAC region.
5. Produce and review regular reporting and commentary.
6. Contribute to and take ownership of high-profile projects and business initiatives as needed. For instance, private credit secondaries, emerging and diverse managers and quant.
7. Work closely with Product Structuring, Legal, Compliance, Operations and Finance teams to create seamless client service experience.
8. Help support business development efforts by working closely with Team Leaders to develop compelling marketing presentations for both external and internal audiences.
9. Respond to ad hoc client queries and formal Requests for Proposal.
10. Manage junior members of the team, including workflow and professional development.
Required Qualifications, Skills And Capabilities
1. Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
2. Minimum 7 years of experience in Asset Management space, along with strong client engagement skills.
3. Strong knowledge of the Asset Management business and well-versed in both traditional and alternative asset classes.
4. Knowledge and experience in Hedge Fund and Private Market is required, including fund-of-funds and OCIO solution.
5. Strong understanding of risk, compliance and regulatory frameworks in Asset Management business across APAC and Middle East regions.
6. Experience in covering APAC and Middle East regions, with the ability to work across different geography, time-zones and functions to effectively lead or contribute in large workgroup settings.
7. Dynamic team player who is self-motivated and possesses strong interpersonal skills, showcasing the ability to proactively engage multiple stakeholders at all levels of seniority to drive our business agenda and operate with strong sense of urgency.
8. Excellent written, communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex matters in a concise and meaningful way.
9. Candidates must have a willingness to travel frequently.
Preferred Qualifications, Skills And Capabilities (Maximum 7 bullet points)
