They are currently hiring a suitable candidate as an experienced Automation Engineering & Maintenance Engineer.
He/she will be the main point of contact in terms of ensuring optimized automation systems and material handling equipment integrity and reliability, championing Maintenance and Engineering Excellence in Singapore and beyond.
Key Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Head of Automation Engineering, this position will be focusing on the below:
- Work with cross functional teams to install, commission, maintain and operate various complex material handling automation equipment and systems
- Leveraging on understanding of material handling automation systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency
- Lead the technical maintenance team in identifying root causes of failures and recommending right modification or corrective actions
- Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance strategies to ensure equipment reliability and efficiency
- Strive towards zero equipment down time whilst ensuring sufficient inventory of critical spare parts
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Familiarity with control engineering / industrial automation (conveyors/sortation/picking/retrieval) / maintenance of plant / machinery/ material handling equipment
- Possess substantial experience in servicing various types of automation technology, including control systems, motors, and mechanical parts
- Experience in Programmable Logic Control (Siemens S7-300/400/1200/1500 ), Omron CX-Programmer
- Familiarity with SIMATIC MicroBox PC, Siemens touch panels and control componentsExperience in SCADA (Supervisory control & data acquisition) & HMI (Human-Machine Interface): Simatic WinCC
- Familiar with SAP and warehousing management systems
- Possess good knowledge of WMS or Warehouse Control Systems
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment
- Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts effectively.
