Accounting
Perform the various accounting and finance functions to ensure the institution’s financial resources are effectively managed, reconciled and accounted for in accordance with the agreed business objectives and policies and in a manner that fulfils the requirements of the relevant Acts, Regulations and Standards and organisational requirements that govern the institution’s operations.
HR
Perform various human resource activities, such as employment, compensation, labour relations, benefits, training and employee services.
Duties and Responsibilities
- To update all financial transactions in the Accounting system and Student Management System
- Assists the Accountant with the implementation of financial plans, objectives and strategies to contribute to the effective commercial management of the institution.
- Assists the Accountant with the preparation of the institution’s budget and implement effective mechanisms for its ongoing review. Liaise with Departmental Heads and Managers to ensure expenditure is managed in accordance with budget procedures.
- Performs the various financial accounting functions associated with formulation of financial statements, business reporting, statutory reports and filings (CPF, GST, Corporate Income Tax), management of the reconciliation process and other related accounting tasks in order to accurately account for all transactions carried out.
- Assists in co-ordinating the annual audit of NAA’s financial records, filing of statutory returns.
- Assists Accountant in corporate secretarial matters – prepare board resolutions, filing of annual report.
- Manages staff payroll administration, issuance of employment letters, service contracts to Singapore based lecturers/tutors.
- Manages the preparation and maintenance of staff training, performance reviews and reports as are necessary to carry out the functions of the HR department. Prepares periodic reports for management, as necessary or requested, to track strategic goal accomplishment.
- To perform any other duties that the Accountant & HR Manager or CEO may instruct from time to time.
Requirements
- Minimum Qualification: Diploma in Accounting or CPA qualifications
- A working knowledge of the relevant financial accounting regulations, standards policies combined with a demonstrated ability to interpret and apply them.
- Well-developed computer skills in the areas of computerised accounting systems, spread sheets and other associated computer software.
- Can be entrusted with confidential financial and sensitive HR information
