We are seeking a skilled Technical Artist to join our team and bridge the gap between art and technology in our game development process. As a Technical Artist, you will collaborate with artists and engineers to develop and implement efficient art pipelines, tools, and workflows. Your technical expertise and artistic eye will ensure that the visual quality and performance of our games meet the desired standards.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with artists and engineers to develop and optimize art pipelines, tools, and workflows.
- Create and implement shaders, materials, and visual effects to enhance the game's visual quality.
- Assist with asset optimization and performance profiling.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical art-related issues.
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in technical art techniques and tools.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or a related field.
- Strong understanding of real-time rendering techniques and art asset pipelines.
- Proficiency in industry-standard 3D software, such as Houdini, Maya or 3ds Max.
- Experience with shader development and material authoring.
- Familiarity with scripting or programming languages, such as Python, C#. or C++.
- Experience with game engines such as Unreal Engine, Unity.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
Preferred Attributes:
- Experience with game engine scripting and customization.
- Knowledge of rigging, animation, lighting techniques.
- Knowledge of AI and ML techniques
- Familiarity with shader programming and real-time rendering techniques.
