The Manager of Processing and Preserving of Meat and Meat Products is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the operations involved in the processing, preserving, and quality control of meat and meat products. This role ensures compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards while driving efficiency and innovation in the production processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Operational Management:Oversee daily operations of meat processing and preserving facilities.
    Develop and implement efficient production processes and procedures.
    Monitor and manage production schedules to ensure timely and efficient delivery of products.
  2. Quality Control:Ensure all meat and meat products meet company and regulatory quality standards.
    Implement and maintain rigorous quality control and inspection processes.
    Address and resolve quality issues promptly and effectively.
  3. Regulatory Compliance:Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including food safety standards.
    Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations and implement necessary changes to meet compliance.
  4. Team Management:Supervise and train production staff, ensuring they adhere to safety protocols and production standards.
    Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching and development opportunities.
  5. Inventory and Supply Chain Management:Manage inventory levels of raw materials, packaging, and finished products.
    Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure the availability of quality raw materials.
  6. Process Improvement:Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
    Stay updated with industry trends and technological advancements.
  7. Health and Safety:Enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
    Address any safety concerns and ensure adherence to health and safety regulations.
  8. Reporting and Documentation:Maintain accurate records of production activities, inventory levels, and quality control inspections.
    Prepare and present regular reports on production performance, quality metrics, and compliance status.
