Senior Mechanical Design Engineer
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead technical assignments and apply standard/high vacuum engineering design principles and methodology, including research, experimentation, and feasibility studies.
- Develop, test, and document designs for transport mechanisms, vacuum systems, process stations, and other equipment.
- Participate in the design process from feasibility studies to production realization, including design reviews, verification, and validation.
- Review and evaluate product designs with internal teams and customers, developing design verification test plans and reports.
- Create design models, drawings, and documentation for engineering release, prototyping, and production.
- Establish and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion.
- Review product documentation for accuracy, including customer-facing materials.
- Evaluate product non-conformances, recommending design modifications.
- Lead design reviews, providing mechanical design inputs on DFM, DFA, and more.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.
- Supervise and mentor engineers and technicians.
Requirements:
- Degree or Master's in Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent experience (Diploma holder with 10+ years of experience).
- Experience in automation equipment design for the semiconductor, solar, or HDD industry is a plus.
- Proficient in Solidworks or similar 3D CAD software.
- Proven experience leading a team of engineers.
