Responsibilities:
- Manage the function and interrelation of controllers, I/O modules, field devices, and the communication network
- Develop proficiency in operation of the CENTUM VP interface, including navigation through the graphical user interface (GUI)
- Configure and calibrate field devices, set up control loops, and manage system alarms and events
- Understand different control strategies and their applications within the CENTUM VP system
- Collect, analyze, and interpret process data using CENTUM VP's data management tools
- Generate reports, trending data, and using historical data for performance analysis
- Implement and monitor safety systems and emergency procedures within the DCS framework
- Develop strategies for system optimization to enhance performance and efficiency
- Engage hands-on exercises and simulations to reinforce theoretical knowledge
- Involve in scenario-based training, real-world problem-solving and system management
Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field
- Minimum 3 years of related experience
- Good understanding of the CENTUM VP DCS architecture, including its hardware and software components
- Familiar with advanced features of CENTUM VP, such as batch processing, advanced process control, and integration with other systems
- Familiar with safety protocols and regulatory compliance requirements associated with operating CENTUM VP DCS
- Proficient in problem-solving skills for diagnosing and addressing system faults and malfunctions
- Good understanding of routine maintenance procedures, including software updates, system backups, and hardware checks
- Experience in Team management would be an added advantage
- Excellent verbal, written, communication and interpersonal skills.
