Summary of Role
- Responsible for maintaining and providing technical service to the dialysis units in the country
- Conducts minor repair & inspection of Reverse Osmosis system
- Liaise with the Technical Service Manager on update of technical activities
- Provide technical support to the Clinical Resource Specialist in trials and installations
- Working as part of a team with Sales / Clinical services to increase product penetration
- Provide end user training for machine operation and phone support for minor technical issues
- Assist customer service with technical clarification of customer orders
- Active involvement in acquiring new business and assist maintaining existing ones
- Standby duties will be allocated on weekends, Public Holidays and after business hours via rotating basis
Key Accountabilities
- Planning & Scheduling of Preventive Maintenance for all equipment to minimise down time
- Ensure all services are carried out on time and in a professional manner
- Provide local support in executing necessary repairs, retrofits and technical modifications as and when required by the Global Technical Team for upgrades or Field Safety Corrective Actions
- Educate staff in the hospitals on the operation of our machines
- Maintain an adequate Spare Part Kit and ensure that all modules are repaired
- Issue service report upon completion of all installations, repair jobs and maintenance tasks
- Ensuring that all service reports are input into the Technical Service Database and hardcopy Service Report to be submitted on regular basis for selected external customers
- Maintain Database on all equipment sold and on trial or loan on a monthly basis
- Troubleshooting support by telephone and e-mail
- Support Customer service with technical enquiries
Qualifications and Experience
- Biomedical degree preferable for Hemodialysis/Peritoneal Dialysis service
- Suitable Electronic and/or plumbing qualifications
- Knowledge of dialysis therapy would be added advantage
- Knowledge of RO systems would be an added advantage Hemodialysis
- Computer literacy (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Good organisational, communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritise, organise own work with minimum supervision
- Ability to work in a team, set priorities and meet deadlines
- Ability to work in a fast pace and at times pressurizing environment
