Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Data Centre Engineer for a 6-month contract position in Singapore. This role involves assisting with Data Centre planning and relocation projects, maintaining high standards for documentation, and ensuring the security and physical safety of Data Centre environments. The ideal candidate will have 2 to 4 years of experience in IT management and a strong background in managing systems, network devices, and cables.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning and relocation of Data Centres.
- Manage and optimize DC cable and cooling systems.
- Install and maintain DC hardware and infrastructure.
- Ensure accurate documentation and manage DC assets.
- Oversee vendor management and ensure adherence to security protocols.
- Address and resolve hardware break/fix issues.
- Maintain and optimize Data Centre facilities for operational efficiency.
Requirements:
- 2 to 4 years of experience in IT management, including Data Centre operations.
- Proficiency in DC cable management and cooling optimization.
- Experience with DC hardware installation, asset management, and break/fix resolution.
- Strong knowledge of Data Centre facility management.
- Ability to maintain detailed documentation and ensure physical security.
