Responsibilities:
- Drive optimization of plant capacity, equipment uptime and yield by safe, disciplined & cost-effective operations.
- Provide facilitative leadership and technical expertise in the daily operations of the unit to assist operators in resolving performance gaps vs. production plan.
- Optimize equipment maintenance and/or plant turnaround based on business requirements and/or production schedule.
- Review and reduce energy consumption through implementation of programs, initiatives and projects in the process and utility areas.
- Drive the development and enhancement of the skills of shift team technicians.
- Promote quality culture and drive work discipline in day and shift team operations.
- Participate in review of process and operations (through process safety management) to enhance process safety.
- Develop and lead data-driven productivity initiatives.
- Work with Reliability Engineers in identification of root cause for equipment failure and development of long-term resolutions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- At least 2 years’ relevant experience in technical/operations function in petrochemical/chemical manufacturing.
- Those without experience but are interested in Chemical Engineering are encouraged to apply.
- Demonstrated ability to understand and apply technical knowledge in chemical process.
- Resourceful and possess excellent analytical & interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in both day and 12 hours-rotating shift environments. Willing to work in 12-hour rotating shift environment.
