Purpose of the position
Ensure import and export activities going efficiently
Key Tasks
- Communicate and make arrangement with sub-contractors on daily urgent shipments
- Ensure the handover process between morning and night shift to follow up.
- Perform physical checking of import and export cargos to ensure in good order.
- Perform documents verification and matching with physical cargo before receiving and releasing.
- Monitoring movement of incoming and outgoing shipments process thru in-house systems.
- Perform physical count during receiving and releasing of cargos to internal and external truckers.
- Ensure physical cargo re-weights and measurements are accurate.
- Perform the check point between booking slip and AWB labels printed by export department to ensure accurate information printed on the AWBs.
- Liaise with all inter departments within the organization to ensure information obtain and act accordingly on requirements provided.
- Liaise with the warehouse team to query and clarify any documentation / cargo discrepancies.
- Ensure accuracy of cargo being labeled accurately.
- Perform physical sorting, packing and labeling as per customers request.
- Monitor sub-contractors handling and clearance process to comply with in-house SOP.
- Monitor and update physical inventory list within the warehouse storage on the weekly report.
- Equipment visual an inspection to ensure comply with HSE requirements.
- Ensure the housekeeping neat and tidy within warehouse all the time and report any unsafe act.
- Perform Valuable cargo clearance at terminals.
- Update the shipment milestone into Pantrace system.
- Monitor and arrange import shipments to final consignee appointed trucker warehouse and update clearance and delivery status into systems.
- Retrieve AWB, manifest and others related documentations from the in-house systems.
Skills & Competencies
- Able to work as a team.
- Hardworking and willing to do extra hours if and when required.
- Fast leaner and will to adapt to new systems and challenges
- Certificate in Forklift driving
- Able to work shift duties
Educational background / Work experience
- 1 - 2 years of airfreight forwarding experience
- Experience in inventory control is an advantage
