JOB SCOPE: Responsible to oversee and lead the overall Finance and Human Resource functions to ensure the sense-making of organisation’s strategic and operational environment, and to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Finance Duties:
1. Responsible for all aspects of accounting processes to ensure timeliness, accuracy and compliance with the Financial Reporting Standards and the Charities Act and Regulations, general accepted accounting practices and internal control policies, with integrity.
2. Monthly and quarterly reports including risk management, financial analysis, cost analysis and variance reporting.
3. Annual budgeting and monthly rolling forecast reporting.
4. Manage accounts receivables and payable processes.
5. Establish financial procedures and policies in compliance with internal controls and audit recommended procedures.
6. Manage annual statutory audit processes and handle queries in a timely manner.
7. Submission of relevant government grants and sponsorships.
8. Supervise finance team.
Human Resource Duties:
1. Manage HR operational functions including payroll & budget, full cycle of recruitment process, appraisal, compensation, and benefits etc.
2. Provide guidance and liaison with other HODs including capacity building and retention.
3. Establish Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and review Employee Handbook.
Core competencies:
· Possess a Diploma, ACCA or Degree in Accounting
· Min. 4 years of working experience at a senior/managerial level or equivalent
· Preferably knowledge in accounting requirements for charities
· Preferably knowledge of XERO Accounting Software, HR software and HR practices
· Excellent written and presentation skills
· Strong leadership skills and ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management
· Systematic and meticulous with an eye for detail
· Able to start work within short notice will be ideal
