Job Description
- Conduct in-depth research for exhibitions on Singapore, Southeast Asia and beyond in the areas: Intangible cultural heritage, The history of knowledge ,Place-based social histories,Singapore art history,Maritime trade in Southeast Asia
- Work closely with curators to conceptualise, research, and develop written content for exhibitions, including educational, marketing and public outreach materials, social media write-ups and child-friendly education guides.
- Assist in exhibition-related tasks, such as sourcing exhibition materials and securing copyright permissions.
- Support community engagement efforts as part of exhibition research and/or publicity, including conducting public tours.
Requirement
- Bachelor’s Degree in History or related social sciences
- Demonstrated interest in and sound understanding of Singapore history and heritage
- Experienced and meticulous in historical research & writing, skilled in sourcing and analysing primary and secondary materials
- Collaborative and innovative, able to work well in a team as well as independently
- Good interpersonal communication, able to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure
- Experience in exhibition, library & archives, or museum work
