Scope of work includes overseeing the following:
1.Core infrastructure upgrade (Network and Server)
- Work with network team on the IP and firewall rules assignment for parallel run.
- Review existing rack design, network design and power allocation planning for parallel run
- Upgrading and migration planning
- Existing Vm servers to be upgraded
- Existing San Switches to be upgraded to full capacity with zoning for different lun
- New San storage setup with auto tiering and new lun assignment
- Migration of Vms image into new SAN storage and remapping to existing and new Vm host
- 2 x New Vm servers host setup
- Vm clustering of server farm into 1 cluster manage by vcenter
- Consolidate existing San storage data to new SAN storage
- Upgraded Server backup software from old to new version
- New Tape library to replace current one
- Upgraded Virtual tape library to new version
- New backup server setup for client backup
- New Client backup solution to assigned users
- New Tape encryption solution to be implement
- UAT test cases and acceptance test
- Ensuring all documents for project are in place
- Setup all new hardware logs to syslog server
- Onboarding all new hardware for monitoring
2.UPS tech refresh (Network and server)
- Work with network team on powering down equipment and powering up after UPS is up for all sites.
- Ensuring that all systems are available an accessible when powered on.
3.Firewall tech refresh (Network and server)
- Work with network team to ensure that the systems are still accessible after firewall upgrade for all sites.
4.Security review for internal networks (Network and Server)
- Work with network team on server infra requirements for testing.
5.VM Resource planning and allocation and system capacity planning.
