We are hiring a Locum Educational Therapist to cover a staff on Maternity Leave starting in September.
Levels - K2 to Primary six.
Someone who has experience teaching children with mild to moderate learning difficulties, specific learning difficulties and/or children with emotional or behavioural problems.
Role and Responsibilities
· Develop and adapt lesson plans for students who have varying disability/disabilities that challenge them in normal classroom environment
· Deliver clear and effective lessons with students individually
· Monitor the academic progress of student and write progress report
· Work collaboratively with parents to discuss issues relating to student’s learning progress
· Updating case notes post-sessions regularly and independently
Requirements
· Minimum Bachelor's degree in special education, childhood psychology or teaching
· Relevant working experience in mainstream schools will be advantageous
· Familiarity with the MOE primary/secondary school curriculum (subjects include English, Chinese, Maths and Science)
· Experience working with children with physical, emotional and learning disabilities
· Ability to extend patience, love, passion and kindness to students
· Patience in guiding children with challenging behaviour and the ability to apply ST strategies from the TEACCH approach
· Strong command of English, both written and spoken
· Ability to teach on Saturdays
