Job description:
Quality Culture
· Embed a culture of “right first time”, familiar with Zero defect mentality.

· Engage and collaborate with engineering, operations, and other support functions.

Governance
· Ensure all processes have the correct procedures/work instructions in place
· Review procedures/specifications/requirements to ensure effectiveness and compliance
· Report on quality metrics on a monthly basis, manage customer score cards
· Maintain the management system to ensure compliance with AS9100 / ISO 9001 / Nadcap / and other specifications/standards
· Monitor and review and maintain QMS to ensure adequacy
. Implement and maintain a system of auditing the facility and periodic calibration of test, measuring equipment and tools.
. Liaise with vendors on purchase and calibration of Quality related equipment, gauges and consumables.
Assurance
· Manage both internal and external audits.
· Ensure the audit schedule is maintained and meets requirements.
· Ensure that all procedures are followed.
· Lead the inspection team and laboratory team, prioritise workload when needed.
· Communicate with customers, external auditors, and suppliers.
· Manage concessions and non-conformances.
· Drive concession reduction activities through problem solving, process capability analysis and customer engagement.
Improvement
· Develop a culture of continuous improvement and lead improvement initiatives.
· Lead zero defect activities.
· Lead operational excellence activities.
Team management
· Development and coaching of quality personnel.
· Ensure adequate staffing levels.
· Review, implement and update company records e.g. training matrices, performance reviews, risk assessments.
· Ensure effective flow down of information.
· Communication and flow down of corporate quality messages.
· Consistently promote high standards.
. Support sales team when required by working together to liaise with external customers and stakeholders to deliver timely corrective actions.
Requirements:
· · Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Materials Engineering with minimum 5 years’ experience.
· Experience in a quality environment that is demanding in a relevant industry, preferably safety critical.
· Proven Auditing skills and regulatory experience; Lead auditor preferably but Internal auditor is a must.
· Proven record of Leadership and team management/development
· Proven experience in and application of Lean Manufacturing methodology.
· Strong problem solving, analytical skills.
· Have proven experience leading, motivating and developing a team and will lead from the front.
· Comfortable with management of the multiple projects in a fast-changing environment.
