Senior Mechanical Design Engineer
Job Responsibilities:
· Take responsibility for technical assignments.
· Application of Standard/High vacuum engineering design principles and methodology. Includes research of design options and experimentation to determine potential design feasibility or application. Inclusive of EOL replacement program.
· Develop, test and document designs for the transport mechanisms, vacuum systems and various process stations, including deposition chambers, substrate heating, cooling, cleaning, etc.
· Participation in Design Process: Feasibility Study, Conceptual Design, Design Review, Verification, Validation, till production realization.
· Review and evaluate product design with internal team as well as with customer via informal and formal design reviews. Develop design verification test plans and reports.
· Develop design models and drawings for engineering release for product development, prototyping and production release. ECO Release.
· Establish initial project schedule and regular maintenance of project schedules.
· Review of product documentation for accuracy including documentation intended for customer use.
· Evaluation of product non-conformances (DFMEA) and recommendation of design modifications.
· Lead and participate in design review by providing mechanical design inputs relating to DFM and DFA, etc.
· Work with cross functional team to achieve project objectives.
· Supervise and mentor engineers and technicians.
Requirements:
· Degree/Masters in Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering or or Diploma holder with 10 or more years of related experience
· Experience in Automation Equipment design for Semiconductor, Solar or HDD Industry is an added advantage.
· Proficient user of Solidworks or similar 3D CAD software to generate design drawings and documentation to standard.
· Prior experience in leading a team of engineers.
· Good command of verbal and written English.
