Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced hands-on Software Tester(s) to work on a Digital Transformation Project.
Mandatory Skill-set
- Degree or Diploma in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering;
- Minimum 5 years experience in Information Technology space;
- Good understanding of both Agile and Waterfall development methodologies;
- Minimum 3 years of experience in preparing UAT test scripts and performing User Acceptance Testing (UAT);
- Have performed at least 2 types of tests (i.e., integration testing, system testing, security testing, and interface testing);
- Have experience in test strategy planning, test management, test environment setup, test case design, and test coverage evaluation;
- Experienced in test documentation, defect analysis, racking and reporting;
- Able to perform User Acceptance testing independently;
- Good communication, strong analytical, problem-solving skills;
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines;
- Proactive with a go-getter attitude.
Desired Skill-set
- Have web and mobile application testing experience.
Responsibilities
- Develop and document clear and well-targeted test cases for use based on Business Requirements, current System functionality, and Functional Specifications/Narratives;
- Define comprehensive test scenarios and data variations to perform end-to-end testing, including API verification and SQL validation;
- Thoroughly test multiple functionalities and document results by capturing end-to-end testing steps during execution;
- Submit defects and issues to development for correction, and retest once errors have been fixed following established procedures;
- Track defects and analyze them to closure;
- Document and report defects and resolve issues;
- Ensure that testing is completed on schedule;
- Collaborate closely with the development team and business users throughout the entire project;
- Utilize analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and reduce redundancies in testing efforts, minimize complexity, and create efficiency without compromising effectiveness;
- Demonstrate the ability to work both independently and within a team environment, managing tight deadlines and changing priorities;
- Prepare daily report for projects handled.
