Job Responsibilities:
- Process purchase requisitions, purchase orders, purchase change orders and requests for quotes from suppliers
- Responsible for procurement business system data input
- Responsible for coordinating subcontract material with sub-tier suppliers and subsequent deliveries to factories Responsible for following up and expediting materials from suppliers
- Responsible for the very best outcome for all material requirements within responsible scope to meet OTD and customer commitments
- Review and analyse quotes from vendors. Coordinate purchasing activities with suppliers, manufacturing, planning and engineering departments to acquire inventories in a cost effective and timely manner
- Responsible for negotiating with vendors to ensure Company is always in an advantageous position
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of database information in Purchasing module
- Responsible for reconciling and managing company inventory movement
- Monitor the costs, schedules and scopes of assigned subcontracts to negotiate highest quality at best value
- Interact closely with suppliers and Engineer/QA to resolve quality issues
- Any other task assigned by the Company
The Successful Applicants:
- Diploma/ Degree in Electronic/ Engineering/ Manufacturing related
- Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) or similar qualification
- Prior experience in purchasing field for a minimum of 4 years in an electronics manufacturing environment
- ERP and MRP knowledge is required
