The Role
The Field Application Engineer / Product Engineer is responsible for driving growth in emerging and strategic market for SEMCO products. The primary focus will be providing total design-in support and technical assistance for SEMCOproducts to OEMs.
Responsibilities
- Implements and manages strategic plans to discover and develop new business opportunities from OEM/EMS customers.
- A team player whom can work with cross functional teams internally (Marketing & Quality) & as well as externally with local sales.
- Adapt Technical Trend and apply SEMCO Product to Set and provide Total solution to customer.
- Work with customers design center to achieve design-ins and total customer satisfaction. Benchmarks Semco position against competitors, developing strategies to increase market share.
- Completes the design-in cycle process by tracking design wins to the mass production point and/or end customers.
- Works as a team with the SEMCO Sales organization to maximize Bill of Materials (BOM) content-capture ratio. (= Available Vendor List ratio)
- Plans, manages & participates in product promotion activities (Technical roadshows & Technical meeting with customers) & training session for both customers & internal component members.
Other functions as per required
- Studies and reports current market portfolio including trends, size, and maturity.
- Work with internal team on documents which customer require for approval. (Data/Specification sheet, Reliability, IMDS, PPAP, Environmental)
- Sample submission to Customers.
- To serve as communication bridge between customer & internal on quality issues. (FAR/CAR)
Requirements
∙ A level or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology
∙ Min. 2~3 years of related experience
∙ Ability to demonstrate proficiency in interpersonal skills including effective collaboration and communication skills
∙ Well-developed facilitation skills to work among individuals from a wide variety of cultural backgrounds
∙ Available to business trip in South Asia Area including India.
∙ Developed judgment, problem-solving and analytical skills
∙ Well-developed presentation skills
∙ Demonstrated time management skills to accomplish short- and long-term assignments
∙ Customer-facing work experience
∙ Experience in supporting design in activities for industrial & automotive market (MLCC preferred)
