Design Engineer
(Civil construction)
Primary Objective
Develops comprehensive project documentation, including the tender write-up, technical specifications, and project reports. Have a strong command of written communication skills and the ability to present technical information clearly and concisely.
Crafting persuasive and detailed proposals, conducting research and brainstorming key points to include in the bid.
Key Activities
- Involved in write-up, design, construction technical know-how, presentation, and slides development.
- Create detailed designs, use of CAD software, design calculations, conduct feasible study, coordinate with teams.
- Creates visually appealing presentations, slides, and graphics to effectively communicate the design concepts, construction methodologies, and other project-related information.
- Develop engaging presentations for client meetings, bid presentations, and public consultations. Ensure the content is well-organized, visually appealing, and effectively conveys the project's key messages.
- Working closely with project managers, design/tender managers, directors, estimators, and senior personnel.
- Develops the design concept, prepares architectural drawings, and ensures compliance with building codes and regulations.
- Oversees the entire design and tender process, coordinates the efforts of different teams, and ensures project objectives are met
- Provides expertise in structural design and analysis, ensuring that the building is structurally sound and can withstand anticipated loads.
- Performing risk assessments and addressing concerns of clients and company staff.
Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineer or Structural Engineer recignized by Professional Engineers Board.
- 5 years design and technical involvement in civil construction projects
- Expertise in design software and a good sense of aesthetics
- Strong in research, follow up adn analysis
- Understanding client objectives, ability to create value proposition & tailored solutions
- Ability in multi-tasking and meeting tight schedules
- Team player
