We are looking for a dynamic and skilled Communications and Content Writer to help drive our content initiatives across various platforms and formats.
Job Purpose
Responsible for creating, managing, and promoting a wide range of content including blogs, articles, press releases, emails, and more. Collaborately manage website and blog, pitch articles to third-party platforms, and oversee sponsored content. Edit team-produced content, handle copywriting for adverts and script-writing for multimedia, and develop marketing materials. This role requires a strong understanding of SEO and content marketing metrics, as well as collaboration with other departments and external vendors.
Key Responsibilities
1. Content Creation & Management
- Write and edit content for blogs, articles, yearbooks, press releases, emails, magazines, and newsletters.
- Manage and promote the company website and blog, ensuring regular updates and engagement.
- Develop and pitch article ideas to relevant third-party platforms and manage the sponsored content pipeline.
- Create copy for adverts, scripts for videos and podcasts, and marketing materials such as eBooks and brochures.
- Conduct interviews with stakeholders and incorporate insights into content.
2. Editing & Collaboration
- Edit and review content produced by other team members for accuracy, consistency, and quality.
- Collaborate with other departments to brainstorm and execute innovative content ideas.
- Work with academics and external vendors on content-related material including articles, photos, videos, and content calendars.
3. Content Marketing & SEO
- Develop and execute content marketing campaigns to drive leads and increase subscribers.
- Utilize SEO best practices to optimize content and drive traffic to our site.
- Research and stay updated on SEO trends and content marketing strategies.
- Analyze content marketing metrics using tools like Google Analytics and make data-driven improvements.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in content writing with a strong portfolio showcasing diverse content types.
- Proficiency in content management systems (CMS) and familiarity with SEO tools and practices.
- Hands-on experience with design tools like Canva and Photoshop.
- Experience with copywriting for adverts and script-writing for multimedia content.
- Strong research skills and the ability to create compelling content that drives engagement.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
- Proficiency in English language with exceptional spelling and grammar skills.
