Role will be immensely on Network Administration : -
- Manage system and network administration across diverse environments like production and test environments including device such as Firewalls, switches, routers, antivirus, SSL encryption utilities), network links along with windows and unix platform servers.
- Execute updates and enhancements to IT infrastructure components.
- Implement security hardening and apply patches for networks, operating systems, and specific products.
- Configure and manage firewall settings and monitor intrusion detection systems.
- Monitor IT infrastructure components (network systems) for obsolescence.
- Manage the renewal of network system passwords and certificates before they expire.
- Implement and manage backup schedule for system and network operations to ensure data recovery and business continuity.
- Create and implement disaster recovery plans for IT infrastructure (network systems) and regularly conduct disaster recovery tests and component failover drills to ensure the effectiveness of standby and recovery equipment.
- Deliver second-level network support to resolve incidents and issues according to Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Diagnose problems from incidents and recommend and implement solutions to prevent recurrence.
- Plan and deploy network system changes to the production environment following established change management procedures.
- Build and maintain a detailed configuration database for all IT infrastructure components used in the production environment.
- Monitor and plan for the capacity needs of system and network infrastructure.
- Optimize network performance through continuous performance tuning and monitoring.
- Develop and implement processes to support IT service management, ensuring compliance with corporate security policies and guidelines.
- Provide system and network infrastructure support for projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines.
- Manage infrastructure upgrades and enhancements according to project management standards.
- Create and maintain comprehensive technical and procedural documentation to support IT infrastructure operations.
Qualification
• Degree in Information Technology and related discipline
• Preferably, attained CCNA, CCNP, MCSE, CCSA, CCSE
Experience and Technical Skills Set
• At least 5 years hands-on experience in managing network and security equipment such as Firewalls, Intrusion Detection systems, Routers, Switches, Load Balancer, VPN, DNS
• Good to have experience/ industry certification for firewall and public cloud administration
