- Find and buy materials in a cost-effective and timely way to meet the organization’s needs.
- Follow company rules and procedures for purchasing.
- Plan and ensure that deliveries arrive on time to meet the organization’s deadlines.
- Keep a database of materials, vendors, prices, and expenses updated.
- Save costs without sacrificing quality by adding more vendors, reducing reliance on single sources, and checking how well vendors deliver and maintain quality.
- Participate in reviewing materials and quickly address any issues.
- Take part in improving the material planning process and suggest enhancements.
- Work closely with teams such as engineering, production, quality, and finance.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in related field.
- Atleast 6 years experience in materials procurement in aerospace industry.
- Expertise in materials procurement, and vendor management would be preferred.
