Our client a well established healthcare distributor is currently seeking a Head of Accounting to join their team.

Reporting to the Finance Director and with a dotted line to the COO, you will lead and manage the accounting team across SEA. Your responsibilities will include providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to ensure the accurate and timely preparation of financial statements. You will be tasked with implementing and optimizing accounting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy, and you will also liaise with external auditors and tax agents. In addition, you will serve as a business partner to department heads to ensure regulatory compliance and contribute to strategic planning and decision-making processes. The ideal candidate will have strong people management skills and a proven track record of handling large transaction volumes in a fast-paced industry, preferably with a background in distribution. Resilience is also crucial, as you will need to persevere through challenges and consistently deliver results.
Skills and experience required
Candidates should hold a recognized accounting degree, complemented by CA/CPA or an equivalent professional qualification, along with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience. Candidates with backgrounds in consumer related industries such as FMCG, Medical Devices, Healthcare, or Distribution will be highly advantageous.
