Job Description: Administrative and Clinical Support Assistant
Overview:The Administrative and Clinical Support Assistant plays a dual role, combining administrative duties with clinical support tasks to ensure the smooth operation of a healthcare facility. This position involves assisting with office management, patient care, and coordination between the administrative and clinical teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Administrative Duties:
- Front Desk Management:Greet patients and visitors, ensuring a welcoming and professional environment.
Schedule and confirm patient appointments.
Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and manage correspondence.
Check patients in and out, verifying patient information and updating records.
- Patient Records:Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, both electronic and paper-based.
Ensure proper documentation of patient information, treatment plans, and follow-up notes.
Handle the filing, retrieval, and archiving of patient records.
- Billing:Process patient billing, manage invoices, and handle payments.
Assist patients with billing inquiries.
- Office Management:Order and manage office supplies and ensure the office is well-stocked and organized.
Coordinate office maintenance and repairs as needed.
Assist with the preparation of reports, presentations, and other administrative tasks.
Clinical Support Duties:
- Patient Care:Assist with preparing patients for examinations and procedures.
Provide basic patient education and instructions as directed by healthcare providers.
- Clinical Documentation:Assist in documenting patient encounters, including updating medical charts and electronic health records (EHR).
Prepare examination rooms by setting up equipment and supplies.
Ensure that clinical areas are clean, organized, and properly stocked.
- Infection Control & Safety:Follow proper infection control protocols to maintain a clean and safe environment.

Requirements: Administrative and Clinical Support Assistant
- Experience:Previous experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in administrative or clinical roles, is preferred.
Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems and medical billing software is an advantage.
- Skills:Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Proficiency in office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite) and medical software (e.g., EHR systems).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, staff, and healthcare providers.
Knowledge of medical terminology and basic clinical procedures.
Attention to detail and accuracy in handling patient records and administrative tasks.
