AVP or VP, Compliance - Regulatory Team Lead

About The Company

Hong Leong Finance is Singapore’s largest finance company, with a network of 28 Branches and 12 SME Centres islandwide. We are currently seeking for dynamic individual to join our Compliance Department as Assistant Vice President / Vice President, Compliance - Regulatory Team Lead.


Descriptions:

  • Communicate new/ revised rules or regulations issued by regulators to the relevant business units
  • Advise and provide guidance on any new/ updates on relevant regulations and rules to all staff
  • Advise and provide guidance on regulatory notices, rules and regulations
  • Review and conduct gap analysis in relation to new/ updates on regulations
  • Liaise with MAS Officers on regulatory matters.
  • Prepare periodic reports to regulators, Senior Management and/or Board of Directors
  • Update of Policies and Department Manuals
  • Review business units' SOPs with regulatory impact
  • Update Gambling Control Act and quarterly reporting to the authority
  • Conduct AML training and mentor new Compliance Officers
  • Conduct investigation and draft suspicious transactions reporting for the Head of Compliance
  • Keep abreast of the latest regulatory developments
  • Prepare ad-hoc/ weekly / monthly department meeting materials
  • Undertake other tasks and responsibilities as instructed by the HOD

Requirement:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Professional certification such as ICA or ACAMS would be advantage
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in Regulatory Compliance/AML/CFT (as Team Lead).
  • Working experience in Assurance , AML, KYC/Due Diligence is a plus. Those with experience in Law Enforcement agencies will also be considered.
  • Knowledge of Banking operations/products
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
