CMBI Overview
CMB International (“CMBI”) is the flagship investment banking platform wholly owned by China Merchants Bank, which is one of the largest banks in China.
To capture the potential and growth in ASEAN, CMBI Singapore was incorporated in 2017. CMBI Singapore aims to leverage on the synergy between China and the ASEAN markets, and to achieve this we have established the following key business units to serve existing clients and to develop new relationships:
- Corporate Finance (Capital Markets, M&A), to develop ASEAN clientele and to originate cross-border transactions
- Private Wealth Management, to mainly serve China-based clients as well as to develop local clients from the ASEAN countries
- Fixed Income Sales and Equities Sales, to cover key international institutional investors
- Asset Management, to capture and create unique investment opportunities
- Structured Finance, to providing structuring and financing services to our clients in solving different kinds of financing needs, such as cross-border M&A, refinancing, pre-IPO financing, recapitalization and promoter funding, etc.
CMBI Singapore is looking to engage a Corporate Finance Analyst
What we offer
- Exposure to corporate finance with a focus on capital markets and M&A opportunities in ASEAN
- Development of bond and equities databases including issuance data and analysis
- Understanding of the various capital markets products across different markets
- Understanding of global market conditions and trends, and their application to the corporate finance businesses and clients
- Development of research databases including market and competitor analysis
- Conducting of market research on companies including their financials, debt maturity profile, and corporate strategy
- Building discounted cash flow and debt models, corporate valuation and analysis
- Preparation of professional presentation and marketing materials
- Exploring and assessing new business opportunities in ASEAN
- Working closely with broader Corporate Finance teams based in Hong Kong
Requirements
- An undergraduate degree (or equivalent) in Finance, Economics, Accountancy, Business Administration, or a related field
- Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint, and an interest in a career within finance is a must
- Familiarity with cross-border transactions, performing financial and valuation analysis, strong financial modelling experience
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, work organization and client interfacing skills
- Strong problem solving skills, able to identify issues and provide solutions
- Positive attitude and able to handle stress
