[Responsibilities]
- Lead the Application Development team as a in charge to oversee the overall planning and execution of software development projects. This position is expected to manage large-scale development projects with budgets exceeding 5 million SGD.
- Be responsible for efficiently developing and delivering high-quality software that meets MKI Group's standards, based on a deep understanding of the customer's business requirements, to ensure that the software is delivered according to the agreed-upon deadlines with the client.
- This position goes beyond that of a typical engineer, being responsible for pre-sales activities, consulting, making proposals to group’s key clients globally (Mainly local and Japanese enterprises), and conducting negotiations. Once a project begins, serve as the main point of contact for the customer and handling critical communications regarding project progress as a Project Manager.
- Formulating technical strategies that align with MKI Group's global strategy and technical roadmap while ensuring consistency with the company's business objectives. Additionally, technical advice will be provided to the executive team as needed, along with proposals for the direction of the company's technical strategy.
- Managing technical staffing plans and recruitment activities to ensure adequate personnel, while leading a technical team of around 20 members. Additionally, the growth and development of team members' technical skills will be supported.
- Negotiation and management of contracts with both local and global technology vendors will be handled, ensuring the cost efficiency and quality of the services provided.
- Overseeing the design and operation of systems to ensure compliance with risk management, security standards, and regulatory requirements at the service delivery country, client country at a global level.
[Essential responsibilities / Qualifications / Experiences / Skills to perform the job]
- More than 25 years of experience in software development and engineering at a globally operating ICT company.
- At least 15 years of experience leading the design, development, and maintenance of financial software for financial institutions, including banks and insurance companies as a Project Manager.
- At least 5 years of recent management experience leading a team of more than 20 members as an application department head.
- More than 5 years of experience in software development and supervision for projects as a person in charge with budgets exceeding 5 million SGD.
- Experience in formulating strategic and tactical plans as an Application Department Head.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in developing AI-OCR or OCR using C# and C++ programming languages. Successful candidate should also be proficient in Cobol and SQL.
- Business level English and JPLT N1 or equivalent level of Japanese language skills in order to ensure accuracy of technical communications to Senior Managements and technical team of both local and Japanese clients of the company.
