We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Banking Business Analyst specializing in the Credit Risk domain. The successful candidate will play a key role in analyzing, designing, and implementing solutions that enhance the credit risk management processes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including risk management, finance, IT, and compliance, to ensure that the bank's credit risk strategies align with regulatory requirements and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and assess the credit risk exposure by evaluating various risk factors, including customer creditworthiness, collateral, and market conditions.
- Develop risk models and frameworks to quantify and manage credit risk effectively.
- Monitor and report on key risk indicators and metrics to support decision-making.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document detailed business requirements related to credit risk management.
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications for technology and process enhancements.
- Conduct gap analysis to identify opportunities for improving credit risk processes and systems.
- Work with IT and development teams to design and implement solutions that improve credit risk management capabilities.
- Ensure that new systems and processes comply with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices.
- Participate in testing and validation of new solutions, ensuring they meet business needs and performance expectations.
- Stay up-to-date with relevant regulations and guidelines related to credit risk management, such as Basel III, IFRS 9, and local banking regulations.
- Ensure that credit risk management practices align with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Assist in the preparation of regulatory reports and documentation.
- Act as a liaison between business units, risk management, and IT teams to ensure effective communication and alignment on credit risk initiatives.
- Prepare and present reports, analyses, and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
- Provide training and support to end-users on new credit risk processes and systems.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in the banking or financial services industry, with a focus on credit risk management.
- Strong understanding of credit risk principles, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Experience with risk modeling, data analysis, and credit risk management software is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL) and experience with credit risk management systems.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, with strong organizational and time management skills.
