Job Summary:
The Lab Assistant will play a vital role in supporting the operations and managing warehouse activities within our organization. This position requires attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced laboratory environment. The lab technician will work closely with the engineering teams to ensure the efficient and accurate execution of tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Perform incoming quality control (QC) activities, including inspecting, sampling, and testing raw materials, components, and finished goods.
- Ensure compliance with established quality standards, specifications, and procedures during the QC process.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of QC test results, reports, and related records.
- Manage inventory, including receiving, storage, and issuance of materials and products.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse, ensuring proper labeling, storage conditions, and adherence to safety regulations.
- Assist in periodic inventory counts and reconciliation activities.
- Provide support during internal and external audits, including preparation of relevant documents and participation in audit activities.
- Stay updated on relevant industry regulations and best practices related to QC, quality systems, and warehouse management.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or equivalent in Chemical Engineering/Chemistry, Material Science/Engineering, or related; additional education or certification in a relevant scientific field is a plus.
- Previous experience in a laboratory, quality control, or warehouse environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with laboratory practice and procedures, including sampling techniques.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in recording data and maintaining documentation.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft skills.
- Responsible and eager to learn.
- Knowledge of relevant quality management systems ISO13485 standards is an advantage.
