Machinist | 5 Days | Up to $2k | Tuas
Location: Tuas Avenue
Working Days: 5 days (Mon-Fri)
Working hours : 7:30am to 5:15pm (Morning shift), 7:30pm to 5:15am (Night shift) – average 1 month rotating basis
Salary Range: $1,500 to $2,000 (Up to $2,500 for very experienced candidates)
Job Responsibilities
- Responsible to set-up and operate the following machine:
CNC Turning X 2
- Able to perform simple programming (For CNC machines only)
- Conduct first piece inspection
- Report to management in the event of non-conformance of components
- Adhere to good quality, housekeeping and safety practices
- Perform 5S
Detailed
- Perform duties assigned by Production Manager
- Check Routing Sheet details against drawings are correct before machining
- Maintain good housekeeping in the areas of work
- Follow Company’s safe working practices and requirements at all times
- Comply with safety measures and practices of the Company
- Report any unsafe conditions and practices to Production Manager
- Ensure that a machining and inspection procedure is compiled to meet Quality Management System requirements and Quality Objectives
- Ensure adherence and compliance of the Quality Management System and achieve Quality Objectives
- Check raw material dimension before machining commencement
- Carry out the day-to-day machining operation in accordance with Routing Sheet and required date
- Perform 100% in-process inspection and recording inspection result
- Update production status in the Routing Sheet to VM system
- Identity any non-conformance product and inform the problem to Production Manager
- Check and report raw material defects / non-conformance before commencement
- Proper handling and usage of inspection devices and production machines/equipment
- Ensure job piece set-up and machining operation is in accordance with Routing Sheet and drawings
- Constant check on machining process and carry out in-process inspection to control the dimension according customer requirements
- Maintenance and account for the inspection devices and tools issued for use
Job Requirements
- NTC 2 or 3 in Precision Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
- Able to operate Fanuc
- Able to read & interpret technical drawings
- Capable of using measuring instruments - Micrometer, Caliber, Bore Gauge, Profile Projector
