Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Heavy-Duty Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing vehicle repairs, diagnostics, and service maintenance, ensuring all tasks are completed according to Company Standards. This role requires a strong technical background, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of workmanship.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform basic troubleshooting and diagnostics with appropriate recommendations. Check and provide correct recommended parts details in the Work Order as required. Carry out service maintenance on trucks, including: Power Steering Diagnostics and Repair, Engine Overhaul, ESCOT Control Housing Overhaul, ESCOT Gearbox Overhaul, Rear Axle Overhaul, Emission Related System. Fault tracing and repair of electrical systems via Tech Tool test, calibration, and programming. Perform all types of repairs (mechanical, electrical, electronic, etc.). Record repair time and details in the Work Order. Adhere to warranty processes and procedures. Accountable for the handling and usage of all tools and equipment. Ensure genuine parts replacement and services are rendered according to the checklist and scope of works. Ensure all services and repairs are performed thoroughly and in accordance with good quality practices and procedures, adhering to manufacturer standards. Lead by example to ensure a high level of health and safety performance within the area of responsibility. Attend upgrading courses as and when available. Attend to breakdowns when necessary and be equipped with a valid Class 3/4 driving license.
Qualifications:
· NITEC in Automotive Technology or former NTC 3/2 in Motor Vehicle Mechanics or NTC 3/2 Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanics or Diploma in Automotive Engineering or related field.
· Valid Class 3 / 4 / 5 driving license (Singapore)
· Minimum of 4 years work experience in servicing and repairing heavy trucks
· Advanced engine, transmission and brake system knowledge.
· Knowledge in vehicle electrical circuit diagram.
