Responsibility
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Lorry Driver to join our team in the manufacture of other food products Not Elsewhere Classified (N.E.C.). As a Lorry Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and timely transportation of food products and ingredients between our production facilities, warehouses, and customer locations. The ideal candidate will have a valid commercial driver's license (CDL), a clean driving record, and a strong commitment to safety and customer service.
Job Description
- Safely transport food products and ingredients to and from production facilities, warehouses, and customer locations.
- Ensure that all deliveries are made in a timely and efficient manner.
- Assist with the loading and unloading of goods, ensuring that they are handled with care and properly secured for transport.
- Coordinate delivery schedules with logistics and warehouse personnel to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery times and any potential delays.
- Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to minimize travel time, fuel consumption, and wear and tear on the vehicle.
- Adapt routes as necessary to account for traffic, weather, and other conditions.
- Perform regular inspections and maintenance checks on the lorry, including checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and overall vehicle condition.
- Report any vehicle issues or needed repairs to the appropriate personnel.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and traffic regulations to ensure the safe transport of goods.
- Follow food safety guidelines and regulations to prevent contamination during transport.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery schedules, mileage logs, and any relevant documentation.
- Complete all required paperwork and reports in a timely manner.
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing any questions or concerns from customers in a professional manner.
- Assist customers with unloading and verifying deliveries as needed.
- Able to carry heavy goods, roughly 20KG - 40KG.
- Able to work in pressure environment and need work under the sun.
- Need work at public holiday, weekend and overtime.
Working Location: BEDOK NORTH, 1ST trip will start at 6am-630am
Requirement
*At least 2 Year(s) working experience and related field are required for this position.
*Must possess at least higher Education/ Diploma in any field.
*Possess a Singapore Class 3 driving license or able to take Class 3 Driving License.
*Familiar driving on Singapore roads or able to use GPS
*Strategic & critical thinking as well as decision-making and negotiation skills.
*Able to adapt, prioritize, exercise initiative, manage pressure, multi task and work independently.
*Excellent customer service skills, including communication skills, problem solving skills, organizational skills and teamwork spirit.
*Time management/ meticulous and mature in work.
