Key Responsibilities:
Linux System Administration
- Perform general Linux system administration tasks, including managing user accounts, permissions, and security settings.
- Create, modify, and execute shell scripts for automation and system management.
- Utilize Ansible to automate configuration management and deployment processes.
- Configure and manage web servers, such as Apache and Nginx.
- Conduct system hardening and apply patches to enhance security and performance.
- Independently troubleshoot and resolve Linux OS-related issues.
Windows System Administration
- Manage and maintain Windows servers, including Active Directory (AD), Group Policy Objects (GPOs), and Windows Server Update Services (WSUS).
- Develop, modify, and execute PowerShell scripts for various automation and administrative tasks.
- Configure and manage Internet Information Services (IIS) for web hosting.
- Perform system hardening, patch management, and manage file and system permissions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve Windows OS-related issues independently.
General System Administration
- Monitor system performance and ensure optimal functionality across both Linux and Windows platforms.
- Proactively identify, diagnose, and resolve system issues to ensure minimal downtime.
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement infrastructure improvements and best practices where applicable.
- Maintain accurate documentation for all systems, configurations, and processes.
Requirements:
- Min 2-3 years relevant experience as a System Engineer or similar role, with a strong background in both Linux and Windows environments.
- Expertise in Linux system administration, including shell scripting, Ansible, Apache/Nginx, and security best practices.
- Solid knowledge of Windows system administration, including AD, GPOs, PowerShell scripting, WSUS, IIS, and system security.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve OS-related issues across multiple platforms independently.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to system management.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant certifications such as RHCE (Red Hat Certified Engineer), MCSA (Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate), or equivalent.
- Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Familiarity with network security practices and firewall management.
