Responsibilities:
- Quickly identify the cause of mechanical or electrical troubles that occurred to the working vessels and establish a proper restore/repair plan
- Take precautions to prevent troubles on working vessels
- Handle operational issues, repairs, and/or modifications to dredgers and barges
- Liaise and coordinate with various stakeholders, Vessel masters and shipyard and vendors to schedule repairs and maintenance needed for the operations
- Prepare proposals for docking requirements and specifications
- Check and Ensure that spare parts inventory management and condition are sufficient to support repair and maintenance schedules
- Ensure quality, environment, health & safety requirements are met
Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years of engineering experience with a degree in Electronic and Control Systems Engineering or a recognised degree in the relevant field subject to the acceptance of the engineer.
- Must be a licensed Chief electrical engineer or Professional Engineer or Associate
- Professional Engineer in the Electric and Electronic field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience working on boarding electrical engineer of Trailing Suction Hopper Dredger.
- Experience in large size of civil construction project sites over SGD50M in General Civil works
- Experience in large size of marine construction project sites over SGD30M in Marine construction works
- Good knowledge of dredging engineering and dredging equipment.
- Good knowledge of marine engineering and marine equipment.
- Experience in planning electrical equipment
- Good knowledge of Electrical circuit diagrams and Programmable Logic Controllers and programming such as PLC ladder, function block etc.
- Well-versed in ship maintenance requirements.
- Good written and interpersonal skills.
- Positive working attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive troubleshooting/finding root cause with the ship's crew on board.
