Position: Head of Department, Social Work

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to lead our Social Work Department as the Head of Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of social work services within the organization, including program development, staff management, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to clients. The Head of Department will be expected to provide leadership and guidance to a team of social workers, as well as collaborate with other departments and community partners to enhance service delivery and promote positive outcomes for clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic goals and objectives for the Social Work Department in alignment with the organization's mission and values
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the department, including program planning, budget management, and performance evaluation
- - Provide supervision and support to a team of social workers, including recruitment, training, and professional development
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards in the delivery of social work services
- Collaborate with other departments and external partners to coordinate services and resources for clients
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of social work programs and services, and make recommendations for improvement
- Represent the organization in meetings, conferences, and other forums to promote the work of the Social Work Department
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Social Work or a related field
- Licensed social worker with at least 5 to 8 years of experience in a supervisory role
- Demonstrated knowledge of social work practice, theory, and ethics
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and collaborate with diverse stakeholders
- Experience in program development, budget management, and performance evaluation
- Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and best practices in social work services
