Job Description:
- Identify problems and perform root cause analysis of IT and upper-level control software of the Vanderlande baggage handling system, in close collaboration with other teams.
- Review system and application logs to trace issues and gather information for analysis.
- Develop and maintain customer-specific validation test processes and reports for the change control log.
- Continuously monitor IT infrastructure, application, and material handling application environment.
- Triage all events reported and maintain incident reports.
- Plan and deliver preventive maintenance tasks & assigned change tasks (back-ups, patch execution, etc.).
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, demonstrating strong communication skills and taking ownership.
- Analyze problems by asking the right questions, listening to the customer, and translating findings into technical solutions.
- Troubleshoot problems systematically, whether top-down or bottom-up.Advise customers on actions to minimize equipment downtime, thinking in terms of cause-effect.
- Take proactive measures based on own insight, lifecycle plans, or preventive maintenance plans.
- Ensure 24/7 high availability of IT services through proactive monitoring and intervention, including OS and application-level cluster management.
- Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance for system applications and middleware, including Oracle Databases, WebLogic, Oracle Grid, and Java-based communication interfaces.
- Analyze and interpret system log files to troubleshoot issues within both middleware (Oracle) and application logs.
Requirement:
- Hands-on experience in IT support, with expertise in Windows Server technology services and Linux system administration.
- Proficient in Oracle Databases ,SQL, and PL/SQL.
- Strong experience with middleware technologies (Oracle, WebLogic) and application management.
- Hands-on experience with server hardware and operating systems, including VMware virtualization, Linux, and MS Windows.
- Experience with network hardware and configuration for firewalls, switches, and routing.
- Hands-on experience with IT security-related software such as Trend Micro, McAfee, SIEM, vulnerability scanning, and system hardening.
