Position Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Finance Executive to oversee day-to-day financial operations and ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial statements. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, this role will play a critical part in our finance organization, taking charge of accounting entries, reconciliations, monthly management account closings, and more. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in both Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), as well as capable of handling auditor liaison, tax reporting, annual return filing, and certain corporate administrative functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Operations Management
· Oversee daily accounting activities, ensuring timely and accurate accounting entries and reconciliations
· Manage monthly financial closings, including preparation and analysis of management accounts
· Ensure compliance with SFRS and IFRS, maintaining high standards of financial reporting
· Coordinate and manage relationships with auditors, ensuring timely completion of audits
· Handle tax reporting, annual return filing, and related statutory obligations
· Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring prompt processing of payments and collections
· Maintain the accuracy of the asset book and ensure all financial records are up to date
- Corporate Administration
· Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports
· Provide support in budgeting and forecasting activities
· Perform administrative tasks related to finance, including corporate filings and documentation
- Business Partnership
· Collaborate with various departments to provide financial insights and support for decision-making
· Support the Finance Director in strategic planning and financial management activities.
Qualifications
- Educational Background
· Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Experience
· 3-5 years of experience in a finance or accounting role, preferably in a senior position
· Strong knowledge of SFRS and IFRS
· Proven experience with auditor liaison, tax reporting, and financial statement preparation
- Technical Skills
· Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Xero) and Microsoft Excel
· Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
· Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Interpersonal Skills
· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
· Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams
