Project Manager

Wuxi Biologics Biopharmaceuticals Singapore Private Limited

Job Summary:

Project manager will be responsible for starting and delivering the project under project director instruction, managing the day-to-day operation of the project,

In addition, he/she will review and analyze project schedule, quality status, site safety performance, team member working loading, engineering and contractor cost estimates, bids, change orders, invoices, labor rates, physical engineering/construction progress, etc.

The project manager will be responsible for the project team performance from start to the end, and monitoring the budget, tracking and controlling CAPEX costs as well as engineer/contractor costs.


Responsibilities:

  1. Assist to set up project team per individual project execution phase.
  2. Manage and execute project in complied manner and strictly following WuXi Biologics procedures.
  3. Prepare CAPEX project funding documents.
  4. Develop the initial project construction budget estimation.
  5. Lead risk analysis reviews, manage risk model, monitor leading indicators and early warnings
  6. Manage and monitor project performance, like schedules, change notice, progress, delivered documents
  7. Take overall responsibility of project safety management. Set up routine safety monitoring program.
  8. Manage project cost via design, procurement, and construction to achieve no over budget spending.
  9. Develop, monitor, and maintain overall Monthly Project Reports including: progress, major achievement, risk, budgeting, forecasting, schedule updates, variance analysis, change management, risk management, early warnings etc.
  10. Develop procurement strategies together with procurement team
  11. Review and analyze engineer/contractor bidding plan like quality, compliance with company request and related code, schedule, progress, bids, change notices, costs
  12. Work in conjunction with Construction Management, Facility Engineering, Quality Assurance, LDI, vendor and Project team to implement project management to ensure project execution is on track. (cost, schedule, change management, progress reporting, deviation handling, and risk management, etc.)
  13. Lead the project team of each disciplines covering quality, planning / scheduling, site management, qualification
  14. Review, manage engineering/construction quality, progress, and cost forecasts for remaining work
  15. Support the closeout of contracts and purchase orders
  16. Deliver the project to end user no late than Board approved schedule.
  17. Responsible for project handover.


Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree from accredited institution
  2. 15 + years of experience in pharmaceutical industry engineering, construction, qualification, and validation from a project management (quality, progress, cost control, scheduling, and estimating) vantage point.
  3. 10 + years of experience in pharmaceutical project, especially in the pharmaceutical industry from start to finish of $200M size project or larger. Experience in food, chemical or other related industries are acceptable
  4. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, project, PowerPoint. Oracle P6, Visio, will be preferred
  5. Experience in engineering, construction, commissioning, and validation preferred
  6. The Project Manager must have a strong technical knowledge in engineering, construction, commissioning, and pharmaceutical industry qualification, cost, and schedule management.
  7. In addition, the individual must have strong management skills for LDI design quality and progress control, construction site EHS monitoring, change management, schedule monitoring, cost estimate analysis, budget monitoring, cash flow analysis, risk management and benchmarking project costs, qualification implementation.
  8. The individual must have a good understanding of all types of project execution phase from concept feasibility studying, basic and detail engineering, bidding or tendering, site construction, commissioning and qualification till handover. The individual must have strong skills in leadership, communication, coordination, self-driven and problem solving
  9. Flexibility to handle multiple priorities with deadlines.
  10. Willingness to travel as necessary.
