We invite highly motivated, dynamic professionals to join our financial services ESG practice in Singapore. The team focuses on the strategic transformation of our Financial Services clients across the broad agendas of ESG, Sustainable and Transition Finance, and decarbonisation. We support our clients on multiple diverse consulting projects that include:
- Driving the operating model design and operationalisation of ESG, SF, TF, and Net Zero strategy
- Ideating innovative digital and platform solutions to key ESG problem statements
- Building ESG, SF, TF and taxonomy operational frameworks
- Developing climate risk management capabilities
- Providing programme and change management support of complex ESG transformations
We are looking for motivated, passionate candidates to play a key role in our ESG advisory practice. The ideal candidate will have a management consulting background, with experience delivering financial services transformation, in particular related to ESG and Sustainable Finance. The role will involve:
- Supporting business development activities throughout the sales cycle
- Build and manage relationship with external clients
- Collaborate with other KPMG practice areas to leverage their expertise and insights
- Actively contribute to building the talent pipeline by championing a talent experience that attracts, develops, and retains top talent and high performing teams
- Working with large and complex data sets to deliver actionable project outcomes
- Designing and delivering ESG strategies and sustainability programmes, including policy, procedures, monitoring and due-diligence work
- Coordinating and delivering asset-level sustainability improvements, frameworks and ESG transitions
- Day-to-day support for the role will be provided by local KPMG staff as well as our wider advisory practice
Personality traits leading to a good fit into the team include working independently, being innovative and resourceful in thinking, with strong relationship, organisational and presentation skills. A naturally inquisitive mind with an ability to think “outside the box” is preferred. Demonstratable skills in teamwork and collaboration, project and client management are required.
The ideal candidate should:
- Possess a recognised degree or relevant qualification
- ESG / Sustainability certification is preferred
- Have an overall experience of 7 to 18 years of experience in banking/financial services
- Minimum 5 years of experience in ESG design and delivery for financial institutions
- Possess good working knowledge of the financial services industry with experience working in a consulting firm and/or in the transformation teams in a financial institution (both are preferred)
- Agile trained with Scrum Master certification
- Have experience in relationship building and project delivery
- Possess strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skill
