Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Associate Counsellor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in relationship and couples therapy, excellent communication skills, and a genuine commitment to helping individuals and couples navigate challenges and enhance their relationships.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual and joint counselling sessions for individuals and couples;
- Collaborate with clients to identify goals and create treatment plans;
- Maintain up-to-date and confidential client records;
- Stay informed about current research and best practices in couples therapy;
- Participate and present cases at individual and group supervision sessions organised by The Relationship Room (TRR).
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Counselling or equivalent certification recognised by SAC;
- Three or more years of experience in counselling (preferably with relevant clinical experience in couples therapy);
- Possess knowledge and skills either in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT) or/and the Gottman Method;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Strong commitment to ethical and culturally sensitive practice;
- Able to commit at least two days including evenings per week for counselling.
