Responsibilities:
- Source, evaluate, and purchase electronic components and mechanical parts from reliable suppliers that meet specified requirements.
- Negotiate with suppliers to obtain better pricing, quantity, and delivery terms.
- Compare specifications and pricing, and present alternative options to engineers for approval.
- Issue purchase orders based on requisitions.
- Follow up on outstanding orders and expedite urgent material requests.
- Collaborate with Finance and Stores to resolve discrepancies in delivery orders and invoices.
- Work with Quality Control to address and resolve supplier quality issues.
- Participate in annual ISO9001 and ISO14001 audits.
Requirements:
- Diploma in Electronics Engineering, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of purchasing experience in the electronics manufacturing industry (OEM).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
- Familiar with Excel functions such as SUMPRODUCT, conditional formatting, sorting, filtering, VLOOKUP, and pivot tables.
- Strong communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and sourcing skills.
- Capable of working independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
- Experience with machining or metal stamping parts is an advantage.
