Job Purpose
This role will be in charge of the account payables function of the foundation including but not limited to:
(a) processing of payment in Finance System – Microsoft BC
(b) processing of staff e-claims in HR system – eFrontier
(c) preparation and posting of AP journals for payments (d) processing of payment batches etc.
This role will be supported in the interim with a Finance Executive for 9 months while payment process is under
review and changes to the process and manpower support may take place at the end of the 9 months.
Job responsiblities
- Overall in charge that the account payables are properly processed, authorized and paid in accordance with the Foundation’s policies and procedures.
- Liaise with internal staff and/or external vendors on payment matters.
- Perform monthly Accounts Payables (AP) schedules, bank reconciliations relating to payments, ad hoc reporting such as surveys etc as required.
- Ensure that all payments are posted timely and recorded correctly in the financial statements of the organization in accordance with the financial reporting standards.
- Liaise with auditors (both internal and external) on payment related review and queries.
- All account payables related matters
- Any ad-hoc duties assigned from time to time.
- Monthly payment cycle will be processed and ad hoc payments might be required from time to time. This role will need to be able to determine under what request will ad hoc run be required etc.
- Primarily contact person for all the users in the organization with BC access and will also be dealing with finance team.
- In addition this role will need to deal with auditors and vendors including accounting system support team.
Educational Qualifications
- Diploma in Accountancy or equivalent
- 1-2 Years' of accounting experience
- Proficiency in MS Office in particular Excel
- Good time management skills to meet deadlines, able to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Eye for detail and merticulous
- Good communication skills
- Team player
- Able to start at short notice
- Relevant Experience with Microsoft – Business Central system will be an added advantage
- Experience working in a charitable organization will be an added advantage
