Key Responsibilities
Recruitment and Staffing
- Manage the recruitment process, including job postings, candidate screening, interviewing, and onboarding of new employees.
- Develop and maintain a talent pipeline for future staffing needs.
Employee Relations
- Foster a positive working environment by addressing employee concerns and facilitating conflict resolution.
- Implement and oversee employee engagement initiatives to enhance job satisfaction and retention.
Performance Management
- Develop and implement performance appraisal systems to evaluate employee performance.
- Provide guidance and support to Pastors and Ministry Heads in conducting performance reviews and setting development goals.
Training and Development
- Identify training needs and organize professional development programs for staff.
- Encourage continuous learning and development aligned with the church's mission and values.
Compensation and Benefits
- Oversee the administration of employee compensation and benefits programs.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements regarding employee compensation.
Policy Development and Compliance
- Develop and update HR policies and procedures in line with best practices and legal requirements.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and church policies.
HR Administration
- Maintain accurate employee records and manage HR-related documentation.
- Utilize HR information systems for efficient data management and reporting.
- Manage payroll and salary increments and bonuses for staff.
Qualifications
- Preferably Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a human resource management role, preferably within a non-profit or religious organization.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
- Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
