The Production cum Continuous Improvement Engineer will play a pivotal role in optimizing production processes and driving continuous improvement initiatives within our manufacturing facility. This individual will be responsible for overseeing production operations, identifying areas for enhancement, and will work closely with cross-functional teams in implementing strategies to improve efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
Roles & Responsibilties
- Monitor and analyse production performance metrics, identifying trends and areas for improvement. Develop and lead the deployment of a sustainable continuous improvement strategy for the site.
- Identify and quantify improvement opportunities proactively across all functions of the business and apply best structured tools/methods (Lean, Six Sigma) to develop and implement solutions in enhancing safety, quality efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
- Support the site prioritization of strategic CI projects. Lead and execute the projects, monitoring resource plans and project deliverables, providing periodic updates to project stakeholders.
- Coach CI project teams on applying Lean and Six Sigma methodology and tools. Lead and mentor production team – operators, technicians, cell leaders to achieve production goal.
- Provide Lean and Six Sigma tools training for the site to close capability gaps and promote continuous improvement culture. Lead and participate in Kaizen events and other improvement activities.
- Maintain / upholding the current HPS level and spearhead initiatives which brings it to new heights.
- Collaborate with CI leaders of other sites to execute global CI roadmap
- Ensure all processes contribute to a safe working environment and support all site EHS programs.
Knowledge
- Six Sigma Green Belt, have strong belief in operations excellence
- Knowledge of ISO standards, Safety & Environment policies
- ISO13485 is a plus.
- Experience in medical component manufacturing or wire drawing, dip coating and extrusion process is a plus
- General knowledge of financial concepts and ERP tools
